Makrifatullah is knowing God and being able to distinguish God from His created beings. This is the way to increase faith, piety and obedience to God. Cultivate the qualities of servitude and humility in Him. Knowing God through His Names (names of God) and His actions (creation and so on).
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the change of night and day, there are signs (power, wisdom, and the breadth of God's mercy) for those who understand; (190) (That is) those who mention and remember Allah while they stand and sit and while they lie on their sides, and they think about the events of the heavens and the earth (saying): "O our Lord! You did not create things this is in vain, Glory be to You, so protect us from the punishment of hell.
Sometimes there are people whom God takes, draws closer to God and introduces God to him. This is a gift. But should prepare yourself to receive this award. Because the world and its contents are just a game that people love, while what is with God is more noble. Therefore prepare to come out of the low human nature.
THE STORY OF GOD'S LOVE HUNTER
Love is not something we have to have, touch and love. If that is the definition of love then Qarun is the richest person in love. The real love is that you know he exists, but you can only hear the news about him or just stare in the mirror. You miss him in silence, follow the developments about him, ask how he is doing. Just to make sure he is always good, Happy and happy. And you are also overcome with sadness if he is afflicted with problems.
Usually the human attitude is something that he has fallen in love with, desperately hunted. Oceans of fire are willing to be waded through, millions of ringgit are willing to be spent to have this one you. But after being owned, it becomes rotting garbage or because of time it becomes old and is thrown away.
Such is the love of God. His love hunters. But where do we want to go? His voice that we do not hear? Something you can't touch? All the gold of the earth could not pay for a spaceship to meet Him. Then where? Confused everyone.
Look at the miniatures, At the sky without pillars, At the wind that blows without a face, At your own perfect creation. Surely there is a God who created him. But if you stand, run and climb looking for His love with lust, it is impossible for you to find it. This exemplary story:
People of the Book (Jews) ask you (O Muhammad) that you send down to them a Book from the sky. (Do not feel strange), because indeed they have asked Prophet Moses greater than that. They said: "(O Musa) show us Allah clearly (so that we can see Him and believe in Him)". Then they were struck by lightning because of their tyranny (disobedience to God); then they also worshiped (statues) of calves after the evidence (miracles) came to them, then We forgave them from such actions (when they repented). And We have given to Prophet Musa a clear power (to defeat the unbelieving people). (An-Nisa' 4:153)
And (remember) when you said: "O Musa! We will not believe in you until we see God clearly (with our eyes)". And because of that you were struck by lightning, while you all saw it.
If your love for God is true, you are the true hunter of His love. There is a book that is the only work of God, a direct word from Him, which is Al-Quran. You will find beauty, wisdom and eloquence and God's love for you. Find God there, and practice His teachings.
There is a way for you to approach him. That is the Tomb of Ibrahim. It is not located in Mecca. It is the rank (Maqam) of Ibrahim. But how can you get there?
Indeed, the House of Worship that was first built for humans (to worship God) is a Bakkah that is blessed and (made) a guide for mankind.
There are clear evidence signs (which show its glory; among them is) the Tomb of Prophet Ibrahim. And whoever enters it is at peace. And Allah obliges people to perform Hajj by visiting Baitullah, that is whoever is able to reach it. And whoever disbelieves (denies the obligation of Hajj worship), then verily Allah is the Richest (does not desire anything) from all creatures.
THE STORY OF MAKRIFAT AS AN EXAMPLE.
A is just a human being as normal human beings deserve. But it is destiny, God wants to choose himself. He grew up as a child who loves truth, justice, and a strong fighting spirit. God made all his affairs easy. He climbs site after site, and traces the world of careers, which have various charms and ethics. Complying with human laws that sometimes go against the law, such as working hours that violate prayer times and so on.
And so begins the story of the Hand of God Educating him...
God has the power to stop Si A from his work. While he is at the peak of his career. A wrote a letter to quit his job to spend time saving and taking care of his children. He thinks his comfortable life will not be tested. Suddenly he lost everything, except the children. No home, No income while the children are still small.
Imagine, it's like without any preparation he fell into the water, and fell to the bottom of the deep, dark night, no one saw his hand that was flailing. Because his life is always good. Therefore people will not expect hardship to befall them. Imagine the situation of a mother with small children who have no place to live, no money. Tears are enough to tell the suffering.
Is it right for you to think that you will enter heaven, when it has not yet reached you (tests and trials) as has happened to those before you? They have been afflicted with calamity (destruction of property) and attacks of disease, and shaken (by the threat of enemy danger), so that the Messenger and the believers who were with him said: When (comes) the help of God?" Know that God's help is near (as long as you are patient and hold fast to the religion of God).
In a very sad state, he began to speak to his heart. He started asking, why, God, when I took this decision to spend time with my children. That's how difficult my life is because I want to follow religious teachings (a mother is responsible for taking care of her children). His moaning every night, suddenly answered from within. He heard the answer from the heart, "follow my orders, do this, solve the problems of the people"
He also followed God's orders, and always tried to speak to his heart asking for guidance. It was as if God was there to teach him to do that and this well. Become a teacher and mentor. And Si A also tries to get closer to God by practicing righteous deeds, such as circumcision Dhuha, Tahajud, Repentance, reading Al-Quran and regular Zikr routine, in addition to obligatory charity.
God tested him, made him fall but with God he laughed. God forms the sincerity of the heart. And after that, comes the grace of grace. In just a few moments, God opened up life with many and abundant gifts. And he remained with his innate, istiqamah in the routine of worship and life. But don't think that God won't test you again. This enlightenment has levels.
The A who is no longer tied to the busy routine of children going to school, business is managed by an assistant. He began to pursue his Lord. In the past, only the heart spoke, he saw nature examining God's power and greatness. And wondering Where is my God?, how can I get to him? For me to kneel at his feet. For me to worship close to him.
(That is) those who mention and remember Allah while they stand and sit and while they lie on their sides, and they think about the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): "O our Lord! You did not create these things in vain -sia, Glory be to You, then protect us from the punishment of hell.
He was looking for a way, going back and forth looking for someone who could show him the way. But by God's will many ignore, and he is marginalized. Force him to find God himself. He wanted to run after but where to? God knows his heart. Then where he looked, God sent the wind, the trees waved and many more miracles (to tell your God is always with you).
But the appearance of nature could not cure his longing. One day he decided to fly alone towards his Lord. Then for some time he tried to find a way to fly the spirit. One night he flew the spirit into the sky. The guardian of the sky stopped him. "I want to find my Lord, don't stop me", but the guard didn't back down. He punched and continued to fly in a hurry.
Arriving at the white plain, he saw Jibril there, surprisingly he recognized it as Jibril, what kind of spirit did he know? "Where do you want to go?" asked Jibril. He wanted to avoid Jibril's indifference and answered, "I want to meet my Lord". But it was seen that his shirt had spots. Then he dropped his body from the sky "Where do you want to go?", Jibril asked. "My clothes are dirty. I will come again later".
He came home and repented earnestly, until he found his clothes white. He flew back to Jibril's place. But there is only Jibril. "I want to meet my Lord". "You are veiled from Him, If God wants to show Himself, only then will you be able to meet Him". But this did not make him give up. Every night he ascends the sky to Gabriel's place. Keep knocking on God's door with night prayers. This goes on for up to 6 months.
Once upon a time, disease struck the community, famine ensued. He decided to supply food for a few days' supply to the villagers. After finishing, that night he climbed again to Jibril's place. But what he saw, different from the night before, a very beautiful light. He smiled at him and said something. That night, he prayed before God. He knows now he is holding on to a strong knot, which is close to God.
After some time, Si A remained with his routine of worship and life. Unexpectedly, it was a very good day, the sky was very clear. He felt what he was going through was good. Suddenly, unexpectedly, he was followed by an invisible creature. The one who has supernatural powers, is strong and creates chaos. Fighting. Every second and moment they are in control. Break his heart. Suffering that no one understands.
This time the Test was real, in the pitch black deep ocean, in the Mariana gap, at night in heavy rain, lightning, black clouds and typhoons. Imagine. Every second they are on guard, war erupts regardless of time. Fighting alone, maybe there is supernatural help that he doesn't know about. Sometimes it feels like all limbs are torn off, veins are broken. Caught. Arrested. Facing the creatures of ferocious creatures. He wanted to ask for help, but who? Severe physical, mental and spiritual abuse.
The time of prayer and worship is always interrupted. He is not safe anymore. But realize istiqamah is important.
He asked God for help, and God was with him. Angels came down to fight for him. But, the demons are still stubborn. The war did not stop, month after month, until year after year. Imagine, there is no human commander standing to his right and left, because humans do not understand what is happening. He is fighting in the unseen world, but people see his body and they need him to fulfill his human responsibility. While his spirit is fighting.
He asked God for help, and God must help him. But the enemy does not stop, he does not die, his suffering has no end. Imagine… how broken his heart was. At this time he was tested with unspeakable anger, no shoulder to support, only God understood. He wants to express anger to God, his God?. Is he not happy, is he angry with fate. To be expressed, He is only a Servant, and God is the lover of his heart.
So it was not you who killed them, but Allah who caused them to be killed. And it is not you (O Muhammad) who throws when you throw, but it is God who throws (to destroy the disbelievers), and to bestow upon the believers with a good gift (victory) from Him. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Al-Anfaal 8:17)
Imagine he had to be patient... God knows his heart. Not only is there no room to talk, whispering is also important, to maintain his relationship with God. Finally Patience had to fight against anger. Therefore he had to find a way how to be patient with good patience. From here he learned many things, which he would not have been able to achieve without this terrible war.
1- He learned the true meaning of gratitude. He remembers all the blessings and bounties that God has given him, children, possessions, security, God's love. Be thankful for God's blessings. Now everything is still very good, only he has to fight at this time. Be patient
2- And he understood the term Jihad. And this jihad stands between two, triumphantly victorious or martyred. Defeat is not in the dictionary of believers.
Be kind to God. Imagine being pampered all this time, God is always with him to overcome all the mines. Now God is still with him, only the suffering does not end. Fight the enemy of God and your enemy. Be kind to God.
Indeed, those who confirm their belief by saying: "Our Lord is Allah", then they remain firm on the right path, angels will descend to them from time to time (by inspiring): "Do not worry (from the occurrence of events which is not good for you) and do not grieve, and accept the good news that you will have the paradise that has been promised to you. (30) "We are your helpers in the life of this world and in the Hereafter; and you will obtain - in the Hereafter - what you desire, and you will obtain - on that day - what you aspire to get. (Fussilat 41:30-31)
3- Meaning of Reliance Only on God he relies. At this time, he felt that all creatures left him. God let all creatures go, the only thing left in the heart is God. This is the term, total surrender to God
5- He learned in this world he does not live alone. There are various creatures. Believers become friends. The unbeliever is only a creature who may not have reached guidance. If a hand can be stretched out so that they believe, why raise a sword that causes them to become more infidels.
And it is not the same (the effect and the law) of a good deed and an evil deed. Resist (the evil directed at you) in a better way; if you act like that then the person who feels enmity towards you will immediately become as if a close friend.
And this praiseworthy quality cannot be accepted and practiced except by those who are patient, and cannot be accepted and practiced except by those who have a large share of the happiness of this world and the hereafter. (Fussilat 41:35)
6- It was in this battlefield that he learned the strength and power of his Mighty and Great Lord. Therefore why did he not ask his God to be a protector. When he fights alone, he is tired, thank God. But when he expects God, God comes very bravely, easy for God. Creatures are just like germs.
As for the people of Aad, they behave arrogantly on the face of the earth without any true reason, and say: "Who is stronger than us?" And (why do they behave like that?) Do they not observe that Allah who created them (from nothing into existence) is greater in His power than them? And indeed they deliberately disobeyed the signs of Our strength (while they were already aware of it).
If you don't help him, then indeed Allah has already helped him, that is, when the infidels took him out while he was one of two (companions) while they were taking refuge in the cave, when he said to his friend: "Do not grieve, indeed God is with us". So Allah sent down the spirit of calmness and strengthened it with the help of an army (angel) that you did not see. And Allah made the call of the disbelievers the lowest (defeated to the lowest), and the Word of Allah (Islam) is the highest (forever), because Allah is Mighty, Wise.
And fight them until there is no more slander, and (until) it becomes a religion solely because of Allah. Then if they stop then there is no more enmity except against the wrongdoers.
... because it could be that you hate something, while God wants to make what you hate a lot of good (for you).
Is it right for you to think that you will enter heaven, when it has not yet reached you (tests and trials) as has happened to those before you? They were afflicted with calamity (destruction of property) and disease attacks, and were shaken (by the threat of danger from the enemy), so that the Messenger and the believers who were with him said: When will (come) the help of God?"
Know that God's help is near (as long as you are patient and hold fast to God's religion).
He learned how to silence his whispers. Advising his own soul to say good things, not to complain and criticize. Finally he reached a floor. Cleansing the soul and mind from things mixed with sin.
You are obliged to fight while that war is what you hate; and it may be that you hate something even though it is good for you, and it may be that you love something even though it is bad for you. And (remember), Allah knows (all that), while you do not know.
And your thinking like that, which you think about your Lord, is what has destroyed you; (with your wrong assumption) then you will be among the losers!
And so that He would punish the hypocrites - men and women, and the polytheists - men and women, who thought against God with a bad thought (that He would disappoint His Messenger). It was upon them that the calamities brought by the passage of time fell; and (in addition) God is angry with them and curses them and prepares for them Hellfire; while Hell is as bad a place to return to.
THE WISDOM OF TESTS THAT HAPPEN TO MEMBERS OF MAKRIFAT
1- You will not reach the true essence of faith, the essence of patience, contentment, gratitude, trust and self-servitude to God without going through the test.
2- On top of all the hardships, God only wants to bestow a better blessing than the contents of the eternal world. Whereas if you have achieved the reality of patience, contentment, trust, who can steal that steadfastness from you. Who can break after God strengthens you.
3- It is like forming you into a calm sea surface without storms. While in it, various kinds of creatures live, various kinds of things happen. Being a Calm Soul does not shake.
4- God makes room for you so that you are not in trouble. God narrows it down for you so that you don't drift in the vastness. God released both of them so that you do not depend on anything other than God. So that you stick to the reality of La Haulawa Quwata Illa billahil aliyilazim.
5- This Long Journey begins with falling in love with God, who is very kind to you. Until you drown in His love. Wherever you look, you see God. Wherever he goes, the lover is carried in his heart. If he is sick, suffering, angry, he will try to hide his feelings. That's a lover. I swim in the ocean of fire.
